Week of March 9th

Our main focus this week was to prepare the course for the Shamrock Scramble. We make sure the greens are rolling good by double cutting and adding a few extra rolls to them. The entire course is mowed and blown prior to every member event to have the best conditions possible.

We continued to improve the tee surrounds on 7, 8, 10, and the driving range. 10 Blue and 8 Black tees have new no-mow fescue that will tolerate the shade and dry soil conditions under the oak trees.

The right side of 7 tee now has new irrigation heads that will help keep that area healthy and green throughout the season.

The walkway leading into the driving range tee gets a lot of foot traffic and makes it difficult for grass to thrive in the compacted soil. Every couple years we need to put new sod down to rejuvenate this area.
