As I sit and write this, we are scheduled to begin the bunker project Monday June 12th. Once the project begins, I will be in daily discussions with the construction crew and golf staff to coordinate golf traffic on the holes where work is being performed. This information will be available daily at the golf shop. I will be communicating weekly on the progress of the project via the Agronomy Blog. We will send an e-mail with the link every Monday morning during the duration of the project. From a logistics standpoint, we will begin at the southwest corner of the property on holes 3.4, and 13. This will allow everyone easy access via the maintenance facility yard along with facilitating all parties involved to get in a comfortable rhythm to begin the process.
Along with the bunker project, starting next week, we will have a crew on property to remove all the existing tree stumps. The picture below is one of the stumps in the rough on the right side of #3. We will grind them down and remove the debris initially. After that is completed, we will fill with soil and sod the area. All these areas will be marked Ground Under Repair until the turf has netted in.
