As I sit and write this, we are expecting sod Monday morning to finish up the third hole. Later in the week (possibly Saturday) we should have additional coming for #4 and sections of #13 to catch up on the sodding. After that we expect the sod company to come in every two weeks to sod the work that has been completed. Once the sod is laid, we will close the green complex for approximately 1 week to allow it to root into the existing soil before we allow traffic on the turf. After that first initial week, we may continue using the drop zone areas for a period of time before we allow play on the new turf.
Another reminder is to check your shoes before walking on the greens if you have traversed through a construction zone. We do not want to contaminate the greens with native soils, so it is imperative to walk onto the greens through a non-disturbed (grass) section.

In the upcoming week, the initial rough shaping will move to #14, and #2. After these two holes, we will move to #15. From #15, the work will move to #,5, #6, and #12. We are encouraged by the progress of the project and expect to see it taking place where a bunker a day is getting finished out.
As always, please feel to contact me or stop me on the golf course if you have any questions about the project or anything else.
Yours in turf,
Stacy L. Wallace, Golf Course Superintendent

Stacy, it would be great if you could republish a pdf of the entire course overview so we can better follow the progress and schedule of the construction against the final plan.
Thanks for your informative updates.

Are you referring to the Working Master Plan that is posted outside the golf shop? I believe there is a link in the February newsletter also. Let us know.
