A quick reminder to help us during the bunker renovation project. If you hit your ball in a muddy area, please clean off your shoes before walking on the green or refrain from retrieving your ball in that situation. Another reminder is the new bunkers are not in play until we install the new bunker rakes. Bunker rakes being installed is your signal that they are open for play.
This week, #2 was sodded. We still have some sod work behind the green that will be finished as we remove existing fairway sod from other holes. One of the issues we are having is a shortage of quality sod, so we are utilizing some on-site sod when possible. Along with #2, Hole #15 finish shaping was completed, and the crews moved to #5 to start the finish shaping there.

From #12 the rough shaping will move to #6 and #7 green before starting the new fairway bunkering complex at #6. After 5, 12, 6, and 7 the work will move to #11. We expect to remove the sod from the disturbance areas at #11 this upcoming week starting Monday.
We could possibly have another shipment of sod late in the upcoming week, but more than likely will not happen until the 15th of August.

As always feel free to contact me or stop me on the golf course if you have any questions regarding the project.
Yours in turf,
Stacy L. Wallace, Golf Course Superintendent
