As I sit and write this, we are receiving rainfall for the third day in a row. Due to the amount of rain the golf course has been closed yesterday and today. With more forecasted today, we will reevaluate in the morning and communicate the status via e-mail. Following are our totals to date:
- October – .07 inches
- Thru November 18th – 1.75 inches
- As of today November 22nd – 10.35 inches
As you can see, we have received 8.6 inches in the last 48 hours. The positive is we need the rainfall to recharge our reservoirs both above and underground.

More good news is the performance of our bunkers after the renovation. In the picture below you see a renovated bunker after the 48 hours of rainfall we just received.

Yours in turf,
Stacy L. Wallace, Golf Course Superintendent

Bravo, Stacy, to you and your crew for the great job you’re doing! It is appreciated.
