As I sit and write this the forecast shows a small amount of precipitation coming in Saturday and Sunday morning. We will see how that materializes as we approach the weekend. For the month we have received 1.54 inches of rain. With the small amount received in September out total to date is 1.64 inches.
Following are the details of the irrigation replacement project to date:
- 8 holes of main lines completed by the end of Saturday. (4,5,6,7,12,13,14,15)
- New intake line install completed.
- New pump station concrete pad is finished. We still have some finishing work to complete on the perimeters.
- Started installing lateral line and heads #7.
- Infrastructure tie-ins completed at the maintenance facility.

As you see in the picture above, we started the leveling process of two tees at #8. Replacement sod will arrive Friday. We will keep these out of play until the new sod nets in properly.
Next week, the installation of the irrigation mains will continue along with lateral line and rotor placements. Please feel free to wave me down or send me a email if you have any questions about the project or maintenance in general.
Yours in turf,
Stacy L. Wallace, Superintendent
