As of today, we have not received approval from the County to continue with the power supply upgrade for the new irrigation station. Hopefully the information submitted by our general contractor Friday will be the last obstacle pertaining to county permits. As we receive information regarding this subject, we will communicate via the blog to the membership.
One of the new technology devices we have put into play this year is the USGA Deacon. This system simplifies how we collect important data. The GS3 ball gives us trueness, smoothness, firmness, and green speed data. This system is more efficient allowing us to provide consistent green conditions on all eighteen surfaces.

As we approach fall, we will start making applications around certain greens to slow the encroachment of the common Bermuda grass. We have already made one at the 18th green surrounds. The picture below shows the whitening of the Bermuda when these applications are applied.

Fall aerification will take place the week of September 14th – 18th. During this week, we will perform the green surface organic removal process and the majority of our fall fairway aeration. The course will be closed during those days to help facilitate performing these procedures.
Please watch the following video and remember to repair your ball mark once you reach the putting surface.
Please feel free to email or wave me down on the golf course with any questions you may have.
